One oddity that the deputies noticed is that Gabrielle Looper's home had two ovens in the kitchen. Whilst walking past one of the ovens one of the officers saw some movement in the oven. He opened the oven door, the officer was startled seeing Ms. Looper hiding inside the small space.

The oven had been modified with the bottom cut out so Ms. Looper could hide herself and other people away from the law. The oven was not functioning and it wasn't plugged into the mains outlet.
