The star basketball player, Johnathan Nicola at Canada's Catholic Central High School posed as a 17-year-old for 6 months.
He was arrested this week after being exposed to be a 30-year old Sudanese immigrant who travelled to Ontario, Canada on Nov. 22, 2015 . When he arrived at the border he claimed it was three days before his 17th birthday.
Johnathan Nicola arrived at Catholic Central High School in Windsor and due to his tall stature of 6 foot- 9 inches and weighing 91 kilograms, he was immediately drafted to be a part of The Central Catholic Comets the school's basketball team.
Towering over his some prepubescent competition, who were half his age, he quickly dominated the courts becoming a rising star not only in his high school team but being known in the district.
His stardom came to an end after he was exposed after Canadian Border officials obtained a document confirming his real age. leading Johnathan to be detained in connection with the Immigration Refugee Protection Act. It is highly probable that his VISA will be terminated but currently he remains in custody at the South West Detention Centre.
