On Sunday 31st October, 54-year-old Edward Michael Dorsey was arrested after striking his wife at their home, in Largo, Florida. He was charged with domestic violence; a misdemeanor, before Edward was taken to Pinellas County jail, he was transported to Largo Medical Center's Indian Rocks Road campus for treatment.
At approximately 10:45 a.m at the medical center Edward was asked by medical staff not to remove his glass eye. Edward replied to the doctors and nurses, "I can do whatever I feel like doing," he proceeded to pluck out his glass eye and threw it in the direction of a doctor and nurse.
The police rearrested Edward on a felony charge.
Edward Michael Dorsey was struck with a $25,000 bail for domestic battery and $5,000 for battery on an emergency medical care provider.
