76-year-old Donald Royce shot his wife, 62-year-old Katherine Fivecoat, in the buttocks after she refused to consummate her marriage.
The incident occurred on Saturday, 4th February, in their Lehigh Acres, Florida, home. Royce and Katherine had been in a relationship with each other for six years but had been married for 6 months, they married in August 2016.
Since their wedding had occurred claimed that his wife refused to allow him to consummate their marriage, frustrated, Donald grabbed his gun and shot a few rounds into the mattress to scare his wife. Donald missed the shot and hit his wife's hip and butt.
The couple's roommate called the police.
Katherine was treated at Lee Memorial Hospital and later released.
Donald Royce was arrested and charged with a felony domestic violence, he is currently being held in Lee County jail on a bail of $100,000.
