
On Thursday, August 3rd, 33-year-old Dennis James Strickland entered Northwest Bank, located in Sioux City, Iowa, and gave the bank teller a fake 1 million dollar bill to deposit but the cashier quickly halted Dennis' attempt in becoming a millionaire.
Dennis entered the bank on 818 West Seventh Street and spoke to the bank teller. He told the teller, whilst passing a piece of paper, that what he had was a million dollar bill and he would like to deposit it into his bank account. The cashier was highly suspicious of Dennis' request and contacted the police after seeing the paper, the United States Treasury has never printed a million dollar bill.
The police arrived and apprehended Dennis, they asked him if he had any more fake money on his person. Dennis proceeded to pull out a baggie of methamphetamine out of his pocket.
Dennis James Strickland was arrested and faces charges of possession of a controlled substance, he was booked into Woodbury County Jail on a $1,000 bond.
