Robber With Bad Handwriting, Arrested

A robber hands a handwritten note to a cashier, and hilarity ensues soon after

On Wednesday, April 19th,  22-year-old Dion Taylor entered Family Dollar, located in Youngstown, Iowa, and demanded money from the register via a handwritten note, but due to the robbers bad handwriting the clerk was unable to read his writing.

At approximately 7:30 am, Dion entered the Family Dollar on Market Street, he headed to the counter and passed the cashier the note, the cashier looked at the note which was filled with ineligible scribbles, passed Dion the note back and requested him to tread the note.

Dion proceeded to tread the note aloud to the clerk. the clerk obliged to the suspect's request and handed over money from the register as well as a pack of Newports.

Youngstown Police stated that the note read, “This is a robbery, please be quiet. Don’t let your pride get you killed,”.

Dion was identified using the surveillance footage from the store and arrested two days later on Friday. Dion Taylor was charged with robbery and was booked into Mahoning County Jail.
